EXTREMELY CONVENIENT FLOW MEASURE FOR PROCESS AND SERVICE APPLICATIONS

The S-TMASS meters of the Smart Line series have been developed based on the principle of thermal dispersion and adopt the method of a constant differential temperature to measure the gas flow rate. They offer the advantage of small size, ease of installation, high repeatability and accuracy.
The thermal principle monitors the effect of heat dispersion (cooling) when a fluid flows over a heated body. The thermal flowmeter contains two platinum resistance thermometers, one used as a temperature sensor and the other as a heater. The temperature sensor controls the process values while the heater is kept at a constant temperature differential.

The higher the gas speed, the greater the cooling effect and the energy required to maintain the differential temperature. As a result, the measured thermal energy corresponds to the mass flow of the gas.
